Utah LLC Filing Fees for 2026
Utah is one of the cheapest states in the country to form and maintain an LLC. Every figure below comes from the Division of Corporations and Commercial Code's FY2026 fee schedule, which took effect July 1, 2025. Nothing here is estimated.
The Formation Fee: $59
The official Utah filing fee is $59 for the Certificate of Organization (Utah's name for the formation document; the state does not use "Articles of Organization"). The fee is set alongside Utah Code ยง 48-3a-201 and is paid once, online, when you file through the Business Registration System at businessregistration.utah.gov. Utah forms are unnumbered and there is no paper formation PDF anymore; the $59 covers the online filing.
The Annual Renewal: $18 Per Year
Utah's recurring charge is the annual report, which the state calls the annual renewal: $18 each year (that total includes a $5 surcharge for the UtahID single-sign-on portal). It is due by the last day of your LLC's anniversary month. File late and the state adds a $10 late fee. Note the change-form figure: it is $17 under the current fee schedule. Older guidance floating around the web still shows $37; that number is stale.
